Some people want to access the community and travel alone but need help learning how. We train participants to use public transport safely. This includes:

✔ Reading bus and train schedules

✔ Paying for tickets

✔ Finding safe routes

✔ Knowing what to do while time spent travelling

This training helps you feel confident and independent.

How Many Hours of Transport Can You Get?

Under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), participants can receive up to 15 hours a week of transport assistance. This can be used for:

• Medical appointments

• Community events

• Day programs

• Social activities

• Assist travel for everyday needs

For participants who are not working, studying, or attending a program, transport funding is also available. We help you understand your NDIS fund and how to use it for travel.
